User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star There are better books out there
If you’re looking for real, useful information on starting a home inspection business, or becoming a better home inspector this book won’t help you much. It doesn’t take long before you realize the person writing this is not a home inspector. Mostly filler, with very little content. The “how to start your own business” tips can be applied to ANY business & are very basic. I got so frustrated with the lack of information I just stopped reading it 2/3 of the way thru.

3 Stars Interesting but you still need to do alot more
Don’t think that by reading this book that you will close the last page go out there and start inspecting homes.

YOu need alot more information and you will need to read alot more books and do some proper training. However the book is an interesting read and you will get a few ideas on what you should do. it advises to get some interpersonal skills if you do not already have them. So I went and bought a few books on that, and it cost me over

Start Your Own Staffing Service Startup

Harnessing people power for profit

Staffing has become the second-fastest-growing industry in the United States, largely by serving a lean business world in which companies are forced to downsize and merge in order to stay competitive. The work still has to be done, but now outsourcing to staffing services, especially for specialized business and technical skills, covers it.

This hands-on guide, from Entrepreneur magazine’s highly successful StartUp series, shows the budding entrepreneur how to set up and operate a firm that can supply person power for a narrow or broad range of business needs. Among other topics, Start Your Own Staffing Service covers:

  • Different types of staffing services and the markets they serve
  • Researching the market to find a lucrative niche

  • Determining the best financing, location, and business plan
  • Recruiting and retaining top-quality staffing personnel
  • Attracting and keeping high-value clients

Whether it serves a huge market, such as office and clerical personnel, or a niche market like engineering or medical specialties, a staffing service can be a real revenue producer for a savvy businessperson who is knowledgeable about matching people’s skills with the needs of businesses.

After reading and reviewing this book I felt relieved. It contained answers to questions I had, but over all its informing and straight to the point with details and advice. I would recomend it for any begging bussiness entrepreneur for a staffing service.

1 Star Kindergarten Level Info on the Business
If you’re going to invest a hundred thousand or so to start a staffing service (as stated in the book… but actually, you’d better be ready for lots more) then you’re going to need A LOT more information than this kindergarten-level waste of paper provides.

In fact, you probably already know more about the staffing service than this book offers if you’re just THINKING about starting a staffing firm.

    A total waste.

5 Stars If your getting in this business, get this book!
This is a great book if you are starting a staffing business. I had questions about the business that were troubling me for weeks. In a moment after reading a few chapters I had the answer. I highly recommend this book.
