1 Star Killing The Divine!!!!!
Please Read Page 173…Dr. Hew Len states we must Kill the Divine to get to a Zero State. Nice!!! Sorry, I’m not buying into this BS. Nobody tells me to Kill THE Divine!!! And if you want to be a sheep and follow the flock, go ahead. But before you buy this book, you should know what it entails. It is one paragraph and brushed over and they are quite cavalier about the whole subject. Like it’s just something humanity has to do. People are idiots!!!

5 Stars I shared it someone and they love it as well.
I really enjoyed this and shared it with a client. She loved it as well.I may go a live seminar based on this. Thanks

5 Stars Zero Limits
This book really makes each one of us responsible for our lives!!! It is really very informative and gives you tools to work with.

2 Stars It’s working
It’s a very good technique, but I have to say that the book is a bit irritating. I can not make it to the end and

I am not the type who doesn’t finish books.

The technique is beautiful. If you do it without overanalizing it, it changes your vibration. Amazing!

If you can be in control of your vibration at least some of the time (when you are aware of it) it’s already HUGE.

The writing is really poor though. And there is too much of the writer in this book. It needs to be more of the message itself( in my opinion)

But…Thanks for making it accesible to us all. Thank you

1 Star Good Message, But Go Ahead And Shoot The Messenger
Once you get past Joe Vitale’s shameless self-promotions, the message of Dr. Len is that we are responsible for our lives and everything and everyone that crosses our path. That is pretty much a universal Spiritual law.

Other than learning the “I love you, I’m sorry, forgive me, thank you” mantra, I don’t have a lot to show for this book. I could have learned this off the Ho’oponopono website.

It looks like a Joe Vitale teaser to get you to take a seminar to learn more. I’ve had some friends take the Ho’oponopono seminar, and they loved it. But unfortunately, the review is for the book which I wouldn’t recommend. Take the seminar; skip the book.

3 Stars Good, but I was expecting more from Mr. Kennedy
Well, the first book I bought from this author was about the time management. It so dazzled and inspired me, that I just went on amazon, and ordered all the books written by Kennedy, on all topics – Business, Sales. etc.

Wealth attraction is the second I read. Well, Time Management was much more provocative, fresh and aggressive, I would even say ruthless – I agree any word in that it is standing in most premium place on my bookshelf now.

This book – it’s just OK, and this is all I can say, OK.

Especially I do not like the second part with all those authors friends – all they do is proudly describes their existing businesses, and single purpose of second part is to recommend and promote themselves.

Easy talking – Kennedy gave his best customers the huge opportunity for free advertisement, since his name is a idol.

But again – if you read the first part and drop those guys who are trying you explain how to buy foreclosures in 3 pages, then this is again a good read from this author

5 Stars NO B.S. – Dan Kennedy is a the best
Great book! Dan Kennedy is an absoulute craftsman with words. Look forward to reading the other B.S. series books.

5 Stars Adjust your attitude and Take Action !!!
This book is all about the way you think.

Money, actions that you take, people that you hang around with are all discussed.

It’s not one of those “If you dream or constantly think about it then it will happen” type of books.

I started putting into practice some of the ideas Dan discusses even before I finished the book and immediately saw results. A lot of the ideas I had known in the back of my mind but reading them coaxed me into taking action on them and not just thinking about them.

You know a book is good when it helps you before you get through reading it.

    Some of the highlights are

    * Don’t wait till you get all your ducks in a row..start NOW, you can make course corrections as you progress and learn.

*Make sure you do at least one thing a day to keep the pipeline of future income filled.

    * Don’t just think in terms of daily transactions but also the value of future business.

    * Get rid of negative people that hang around you. Dan gives them a great label of Wealth Blockers.

    * Hope is not a strategy… is this not one of the truest things that you have ever heard and yet we all know people that live with no real plans of how to achieve success.

I could go on but if you combine this book with No B.S. Time Management for Entrepreneurs (No B.S. Series) you will have a one-two punch that will put you miles ahead of the competition.

All of Dan’s no B.S, books are not of the same level of quality, but I think this is the best one of the bunch.

If you have read this far then you need to take action. Buy this book along with Dan’s Time Management and put what they teach into practice.

Kennedy’s Time Management will show you how to get rid of the Time Vampires so that you can put the business advice he dispenses in this book to use.

Just knowing stuff is useless unless you put it to use. There is a phrase that NLP people will recognize called congruence… your actions and thoughts must be aligned to produce results.

By reading the various reviews you have shown that you are interested in achieving success as an entrepreneur. Now you must make your actions match your thoughts and get the info that is contained in this book.

Its cost is much less than a single night out and it will alter the way you act and think for the rest of your life. that’s a pretty good bargain by any measure.

3 Stars Good, Interesting … I’d really say three and a half stars
This is my first Dan Kennedy book and I thought it a slightly better than the average book in the “wealth attraction” genre.

The chapters are short, sweet and to the point. There is a lot in the book that makes sense or, at least, resonated with me true or plausible. As with most books about wealth attraction, Dan Kennedy uses a lot of anecdotes about people who have “made it” by using the methods described in the book. He also offers advice that contradicts the conventioanl wisdom which I found refreshing.

It is obvious that he’s read the genre and knows what advice is in other books. So, in some cases, he flat out says their stuff doesn’t work and his stuff does. Fos some reason, that approach appealed to me.

Of course, the book is sprinkled liberally throughout with directions to go to his various websites to connect with his free newsletter or not-so-free programs and books. There are also the requisite stories in the back of the book by his proteges and buddies sharing how they became millionaires and, oh yeah, you can become one, too, if you connect with thier websites and programs.

I like Dan’s writing style and a lot of his advice. A lot has been written about before so it’s not a 5 star but definitely worth the price of the book.

4 Stars I Am Now and Will Always Be a Wealth Magnet! Are You?
This book packs a wallop! 26 wallops to be exact… communicated in typical Dan Kennedy fashion… right between the eyes! Dan Kennedy does a masterful job of presenting not only what seems to be the common sense wealth attraction characteristics of the rich, but some of the not often discussed but critical taboo ones such as fear and integrity.

Although this book is a quick read containing short chapters dedicated to each wealth attraction magnet – take your time and fully absorb the experience and insight that the author so graciously shares. And whatever you do, don’t skip or gloss over Section II of this book where real people share real wealth building strategies that they’ve used to create financial abundance in their lives as well as the lives of others – great stuff!

This is a highly recommended read for anyone on a path to increased wealth.

Qualitative Market Research A Comprehensive Guide

Qualitative Market Research follows through a complete research project from the perspective of both user and practitioner. In this respect, it can be used as both a continuous teaching text and training manual, or individual sections may be consulted to enhance knowledge of `best practices’ and improve productivity in any specific research application. Section one begins with an overview of the history and philosophy behind the practice of qualitative research, using qualitative or quantitative approaches, organizing qualitative research (particularly those in `practice’ such as research consultants), qualitative research applications (including product development, branding and advertising) and the varieties of qualitative research methods. Section two looks at the management of qualitative research and discusses project management, planning and budgeting issues. Section three looks at group moderation and interviewing techniques, and section four addresses the whole area of collecting and analyzing qualitative data, including discussion of computer-assisted software methods, as well as research reporting. This book meets the needs of several audiences by creating some common ground in the applied practice of qualitative research. It should consequently be invaluable reading to a wide readership, from social research methods students (particularly those in sociology, business, psychology, education, marketing and market research) to worldwide practitioners of qualitative research, both clients and consultants.

“. . . a comprehensive survey of the topic . . . a complete resource and a fundamental yet creative cookbook . . . Mariampolski offers detailed suggestions on how to effectively set up each particular type of project with step-by-step guidelines on how to proceed at each stage along the way. . . . It will be very interesting to those who wish to work in marketing, advertising, or research.”

3 Stars FIVE WHYS BEFORE ONE HOW !
The break-through Japanese management researcher Ishikawa,What Is Total Quality Control?: The Japanese Way (Business Management) whose work was popular in the West in the 1960′s as the ‘Fish Bone’ Diagramme, had a rule. Before you asked ‘how’(you were to do anything) first you exhausted the ‘why’ (it should be done at all or on a particular project or at a particular time).

We have to disclose up-front that One Big Idea Consulting Limited NZ has been training and educating managements around the globe at board level in the Ishikawa philosophy for two decades… as it applies to marketing research, creative branding and intergrated R&D. We are biased. No doubt about that.Guide to Quality Control Ishikawa has legs into the 21st century !

This Ishikawa focus, highlights the flaw of this otherwise quite decent novice guide to marketing research in its so called ‘qualitative’ guise. Too much ‘how’ and not nearly enough ‘why’.

Wendy Gordon’s Good Thinking: A Guide to Qualitative Research is much more to the point… and much more in line with Ishikawa skepticism. For skeptical researchers with a few hundred projects behind their focus groups, observation windows and discussion panels and open-ended questionnaires, Gordon stands out as a veteran consumer researcher who tackles the really tough ‘WHY’ issues beyond the run-of-the-mill ‘HOW’. Other than that, we have no quarrel with the Miriampolski content such as it is. For the beginners it is an OK starter, before you graduate to Gordon and tough-test your thinking.

The key question is not so much as ‘HOW’ to apply one other research technique in the tool-box. The really critical issue is ‘WHY’ should one or other research project be done at all ! Gordon digs much deeper than Miriampolski in trying to answer the ‘WHY’.

5 Stars Thorough, enagaging – useful for new researchers as well as experienced professionals. Great basis for team workshopping.
Hy Mariampolski is an inspiring man – and both generous and energetic in spreading the word about qualitative techniques and ethnography. It is refreshing to read such a well-written guide without having all the self-promotional baggage that litters too many practitioners handbooks.

For a start, I find his history of qualitative techniques a great place to start this volume. As a synopsis of our professional history this is colourful, accurate and useful in contextualising why researchers do what they do.

He then rolls through the big questions – when to use qualitative research, which techniques to choose, the planning of projects (including a thorough section of choosing & screening respondents) and then the juicy section: running interviews or focus groups.

Here, Mariampolski makes us feel right at home. He’s instructive without being didactic, and he speaks in a common-sense manner, peppering his advice with pertinent examples and a few illustrations. He includes a very useful chapter on the special considerations of youth research, multicultural research, interviewing business executives and covering particularly sensistive topics.

The final main section is on the analysis of qualitative information, and the presentation of this. Again, Mariampolski speaks directly and usefully.

Overall I’d say the book is pitched mostly at newer researchers, and at those who are contemplating a typically fascinating career in qualitative research, but this shouldn’t stop a more senior researcher from going through the easily read 300 pages and making notes: even to check their own techniques and consider new ideas.

The book is current (2001) and would make an excellent basis for a set of in-house training workshops for the research team. It is well worth the purchase. I wish all research texts were this clear.

Zen Entrepreneurship Walking the Path of the Career Warrior

Zen Entrepreneurship is a unique tale of spiritual awakening set in an unusual place: the business world. When Rizwan Virk was in his early 20′s, starting a high tech business, he was exposed to a series of techniques to bring the magic and mystery of the “hidden worlds” into his work.

This book chronicles his experiences, and brings those techniques to life to show each of us how to bridge this gap. Written by a successful entrepreneur, it is for those of us who feel a call to be more spiritual, but must live and work in the ordinary world everyday.

    User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars THE BEST BOOK I’VE READ IN 2004!
This book is a wonderful — and rare — combination of business AND spirituality. Rizwan will keep you absorbed in his book as you laugh, learn and reflect.

It is a beautiful story to be enjoyed by an entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur who wants to further understand and explore his/her spiritual side while getting ahead in business.

I couldn’t put the book down! It’s a rare find and a must read!

    5 Stars great read
This book was both insightful and a pleasant read. I would definately recommend it, especially for entrepreneurs, or someone considering becoming one.

5 Stars I’ll recommend this to my clients!
I met Riz in 2002, at Robert Moss’s first Dream Teacher Training. I remember him for his energy, enthusiasm, and humor. His book enthralled me in part because I had met Riz, and his wonderful qualities come through loud and clear. But I am recommending the book primarily because of its genuine depictions of spiritual life in the workplace. The story follows Riz along what he calls the Path of the Career Warrior, from skeptic to brilliant dreamer.

Zen Entrepreneurship can be read on different levels. On one level is the happy story of Riz, the young computer grad, dreaming of a business of his own. He serendipitously found his way into a meditation class and a new way of life, while building an idea into a multi-million dollar company. The second level offers guidance on how to establish and grow a new business, addressing structural, financial and psychological issues in a way that could be helpful to any aspiring entrepreneur. But the third and most important level is the concept of bringing spiritual practice into the workplace, as Riz provides insight and instruction in meditation and dream work that can be useful regardless of a person’s career direction.

“A Career Warrior is someone who can harmoniously bring the insights gained through spiritual practice into the every day world. And someone who can take the challenges and insights gained in the wonderful world of work with them into the hidden worlds.” (p. 9).

“You are not looking to start their business, you are looking to start your own business. The lessons that you need are different than the lessons that those folks need. Starting a business is not simply a mechanical thing; it’s part of your path to personal growth.” (p. 37).

I could go on, quoting significant statements for some time, as each chapter contains choice tidbits to ponder and to practise. I have already begun sharing some of these wisdoms with my clients, including a workplace meditation in which the focus is not a mantra or a breathing technique but rather concentration on a task to the exclusion of everything that might intrude. Other tips have helped me focus my own intention and passion.

Riz finishes the book by sharing the dream which inspired him to write about spirituality in the workplace. He began that very night with an essay outlining the principles of what has since blossomed into this book. Since that beginning, he has continued to establish new technology companies, and to write and speak about the Path of the Career Warrior. On his web site, he announces his next endeavor, a book entitled, Dreaming a Business: Using Dreams, Visions, and Sychronicity in the Workplace. He is collecting stories now. If you hurry, there might be room for yours!

    4 Stars Inspirational
This is a moving book, particularly if you are an entreprenuear and have suffered through the reflection, self-questioning, loving advice of friends and family, etc. The book allowed me to give myself permsission to view my current entreprenuerial journey as a consultant and developer of sustainable communities as a journey of self discovery. I knew this instinctively, that only by experiencing this journey could I offer authentic guidance to others on similar journeys, however, Virk’s work helped me bring this into consciousness and not only accept, but to be inspired by it. The book is charming and easy to read. There are numerous typos, but the flow of the story more than makes up for it. I gave away a couple of copies of this book because I found it so helpful.

5 Stars A must read, inspiring and insightful book!
This book was recommended at a leadership conference I attended. It’s a quick read and quite inspiring. Riz narrates a fascinating account of his own personal journey to relate and bring together different spiritual concepts. While his journey centers on his business life, the concepts presented can apply to every aspect of one’s life.

The book describes the convergence of the “hidden” and “real” worlds, showing the definite connection between dreams, events, people, and circumstances. It can seem random and unrelated, but it’s all connected in a meaningful way. Riz demonstrates how this has occurred in his business life.

The book is very well written, and it’s extremely impactful in a subtle way. Riz is not trying to preach a certain belief system or approach to life which I appreciate. What he does convey is to maintain awareness and take notice of what’s going on around you. Connect the seemingly random dots, step back, and you may find that you’ve drawn a picture of something quite special that you never saw before.
